The Standing Professional Committee on Education (EdCom) advances the purpose of museums as places of lifelong learning, serves as an advocate for diverse audiences and educators, and promotes professional standards and excellence in the practice of museum education.

 


Want to join EdCom?

EdCom is a Standing Professional Committee within the American Association of Museums (AAM). Please visit www.aam-us.org to become a member of AAM and EdCom, or to upgrade your current AAM membership to include EdCom membership as well.


 

EdCom seeks proposals for AAM 2010. The 2010 Annual Meeting theme is Museum Without Borders and is scheduled for May 23 - 27, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. The session proposal process is online this year - make sure you check the EdCom box to be considered for EdCom endorsement – and proposals must be submitted no later than July 10, 2009. To submit a proposal, visit the AAM website and follow the instructions.
